The Cashless School Programme is a new initiative by Digital Perak Corporation Holdings aimed at empowering the cashless payment ecosystem in line with the Perak Sejahtera 2030 Plan.
This program is a strategic step to advance the education sector by integrating digital technology into students’ daily lives.
The implementation of this program offers significant benefits to parents, students, and schools by providing a safer and more efficient payment method. The pilot program has been launched at Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Jati, Ipoh, making it the first school in Perak to implement a fully cashless system.
This initiative not only positively impacts the education sector but also serves as a catalyst for Perak’s digital transformation.
Mohd Azlan Helmi, Perak’s State Executive Councilor for Communication, Multimedia, and NGOs, emphasized that digitalization will continue to expand across various sectors through the state’s strategic action plan.
The program will be extended to more schools and higher education institutions following an evaluation of the initial implementation at SK Jati.
With the collaboration of technology companies like Rising Net Sdn Bhd, Axicom Sdn Bhd, and Service Master (M) Sdn Bhd, Digital Perak aims to ensure the program’s smooth execution.
The Cashless School Programme is a proactive step towards making Perak a leading digital state. It not only supports the mission of Perak Sejahtera 2030 but also helps build a more digitally literate society.
